Liquid Sports Ghana celebrates African high champion Rose Yeboah who punched her ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics when she produced a national record 1.97m to win the NCAA D1 national championship.

The University of Illinois student achieved the feat at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships, Hayward Field, Eugene, OR on June 8th, 2024.

The former University of Cape Coast student becomes the first Ghanaian high jumper to qualify for the Olympics and the first female Ghanaian athlete to win an NCAA D1 national title.

Rose has blazed a trail for high jumpers in Ghana for a period that started in 2019 when she won gold at the African Games in Rabat, Morocco, and her subsequent 7th place finish at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham before retaining her African Games crown on home soil at the Accra 2023 African Games.
