Black Stars coach Otto Addo has reacted to the qualifying draw of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.
Ghana were drawn in Group F alongside Angola, Sudan and Niger.
In his immediate reaction to the draw held in Johannesburg, South Africa, Otto Addo says it is going to be tough.
He, however, believes his charges have the “quality” to qualify.
“There’s no small team at the moment in Africa,” he said in an interview on Friday, July 5.
“You saw at the last AFCON that very very strong teams had problems with smaller so-called unknown teams.
“So, it’s going to be tough but I think we have the quality to beat all of them but it is going to be close and it’s going to be tough. There are no easy games.”
The qualifiers are expected to begin in September.
For Otto Addo, playing Angola will be tough especially with their performance in the last AFCON.
He also spoke about Sudan’s recent resurgence under James Kwesi Appiah while not writing off Niger.
“They have a strong squad and we can’t take it easy. It’s going to be tough. It’s going to be close but like I said I have a strong belief that we can succeed against them.”
