Ghanaian 100m record holder Benjamin Kwaku Azamati is $10,000 richer after clinching a historic 1st place in the Paris Diamond League on Saturday.
The prize money for the qualification meetings in the Wanda Diamond League prize pool per discipline is 30 000 dollars with the winners taking $10,000 while the rest of the money is split among the other final lists:

The US based Ghanaian sprinter almost stumbled out of the blocks but stayed calm to race clear of the pack with about 10m to end the race to achieve a feat no other Ghanaian has done in the past decade.
Ghana has not been in strong contention in individual events at international athletics meets since the 2005 IAAF World Championships where the pair of long jumper Ignisious Gaisah came second while Margaret Simpson took bronze in the heptathlon.
Azamati who had placed 4th 10.15s in the Diamond League in Oslo last Friday, clocked 10.25s (-1.6 m/s) this time into a strong headwind ahead of the French pair of Mouhamadou Fall who took second place with 10.32s while Jimmy Vicaut settled for third with 10.34s. Azamati’s Ghanaian teammate Sean Safo-Antwi came 6th with 10.45s.
