Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo on Thursday, August 29 named his squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

The former Dortmund scout coach named 23 players for the games, scheduled for early September.

Still missing from his squad is Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew, explaining that he is has the former West Ham player in his plans.

“Andre Ayew is a quality player, but at the moment, he is not with us,” the gaffer stated.

“He doesn’t have a club at the moment, but the future is unpredictable.

“If he secures a club, performs well, and scores 20 goals, maybe he can return because we are building something for the future.”

Returning to the team are strikers Iñaki Williams and Joseph Paintsil as well as midfielder Majeed Ashimeru.

Goalkeepers: Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Joseph Wollacott and Frederick Asare

Defenders: Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Alexander Djiku, Abdul Mumin, Mohammed Salisu, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan and Kingsley Schindler.

Midfielders: Mohammed Kudus, Francis Abu, Thomas Partey, Elisha Owusu and Majeed Ashimeru.

Forwards: Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, Ibrahim Osman, Antoine Semenyo, Iñaki Williams, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Jordan Ayew.
