The two Ghanaian clubs in the CAF inter-club competitions this season have all to play for in the second legs after they failed to win their respective home games in the second preliminary round.
Nsoatreman FC played first on Friday, September 13 against CS Constantine of Algeria.
Unfortunately for the Ghanaians, two first-half goals by Benchaa Zachariah led to their first defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
The Ghana FA Cup champions had won both legs in the preliminary qualifiers against Elect-Sport FC of Chad and were yet to concede in their debut campaign.
However, the conceded goals make the 2nd leg a tall order.
They will travel to Algeria to face CS Constantine at the Chahid Hamaloui Stadium on Saturday, September 21.
Only a win by a two-goal margin can guarantee the Ghanaians a place in the 2024/25 Confederation Cup.
FC Samartex 1996, on the other hand, got a better result.
They drew 2-2 with Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca at home and are confident of grabbing a better result in the return leg on Saturday, September 21.
