Ghana have released their final 21-player squad for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
The final squad list was released by Coach Yusif Basigi on Monday, August 19 to meet the mandatory FIFA requirement.
Per the list, Basigi is going after a resolve to make it past the group phase.
21-player squad:
Goalkeepers: Afi Amenyeku, Jenna Kayla Sarpong and Najat Salam
Defenders: Comfort Yeboah, Alexandria Tay, Abiba Issah, Sarah Kulible, Hannah Nyame
Midfielders: Asana Alhassan, Helen Alormenu, Veronica Kumah, Wasiima Mohammed, Beline Nyarkoh and Stella Nyamekye
Strikers: Jennifer Owusuwaa, Jennifer Dawa, Mercy Attobrah, Mary Amponsah, Tracey Twum, Salamatu Abdulai and Mafia Nyame
Ghana’s Black Princesses are in Group E with Japan, New Zealand and Austria.
Ghana will first play the Europeans before taking on the Asians and Oceanians in that order.
The tournament starts on Saturday, August 31 with Ghana playing her opener two days later.
It is scheduled to end on Sunday, September 22.
