Olympian Sean Safo-Antwi bowed out of the CAA African Championships after placing 6th with 10.31s in semifinal 1 of the 100m in Mauritius.
Kenyan Ferdinand Omanyala booked a place in the final after winning the semifinal heat with 10.07s, followed in second by Namibia’s Gilbert Maseko Hainuca with 10.15s and Mauritius’ Noa Bibi came third in a time of 10.24s.

Sean, who competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Olympics respectively, finished 3rd in heat 2 of the men’s 100m and qualified to the next round in 10.28s earlier in the day.
He was came to the competition on the back of a season’s best 10.28s performance last month.
He is the second Ghanaian to bow out of the event. Ghana has two more representatives in the men’s 200m, Joseph Paul Amoah, and higher jumper Rose Amoanimaa who are yet to compete.
