Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp believes Mohammed Kudus is not going to be with the Hammers for a long time.
In an interview with ‘We Are West Ham Podcast’, that aired on 15th August 2024, Redknapp claimed to have spoken to somebody close to West Ham who said the Ghanaian may not be at the club when the season starts.
The Ghanaian attacker was by far the best player for West Ham in their 2:1 loss to Aston Villa on the opening day of the premier league.
Kudus has been a massive hit with the Hammers ever since joining the London club from Ajax last season.
He scored 8 goals in the premier league and a further 5 in the Europa League last season and has attracted interest from other clubs, with some reports indicating Liverpool was interested in signing him.
But West Ham were left to rue their opening day loss to Aston Villa in the English premier league.
The hosts fell to an Amadou Onana header just four minutes into the game but clawed back with a Lucas Paquetá penalty after Tomáš Souček was fouled in the box.
The Hammers failed to take advantage of the chances that came their way and were punished when Jhon Durán scored for the away team with 11 minutes left on the clock.
New Hammers manager Julen Lopetegui was left to rue the loss and said his side had failed to match Aston Villa in the little details.
“The Premier League is the most demanding competition around the world, so the little details are key,” he said.
