South African side Black Leopards have officially announced Ghana’s Maxwell Konadu as their new coach.

Konadu’s appointment follows his resignation from Ghana Premier League side Nsoatreman FC.

The former Black Stars caretaker coach led Nsoatreman FC not only to a fourth-place finish in the League but also delivered their first silverware after beating regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano FC in the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup.

According to a statement from the South African side on Tuesday, July 2, Konadu’s contract will span a three-year period.

He will be assisted by Solly Luvhengo.

Tendai Tanyanyiwa will be Goalkeepers’ Coach and Majaha Ndhlovu will be the Physical Trainer.

Black Leopards currently play in the Motsepe Championship, the second-tier league in South Africa.

They are seeking to return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

“We are very happy with Maxwell and we are confident that he can take us to the promised land,” stated Chairman Tshifhiwa Thidiela.
