On August 2, 2008, Ghana’s Joshua Clottey captured the IBF World welterweight title with a nine-round technical decision over Zab Judah. A hungry Clottey broke Judah down with his jab and power punches. Zab said he couldn’t see due to a cut above his right eye. Clottey was ahead on all three cards, giving him the win and giving Ghana another world champion.
